Spoiled Pretty's CND Spring 2008 Giveaway

Plexi Pop, the Spring 2008 color collection from Creative Nail Design, was inspired by colorful Lucite designs from modernist 60’s interiors. Bold in the bottle, while subtle on the nail - this collection includes:

Top Row: Retro White (bright white opaque crème), Turquoise Tint (aqua opalescent sheer), Nail Gloss (translucent medium pink sheer)
Bottom Row: Clearly Pink (translucent light pink sheer), Translucent Tangerine (coral shimmer sheer), Plexi Pink (vibrant pink opalescent sheer)

These shades debuted on runways during Spring 2008 Fashion Week in New York and London - including Badgley Mischka, BCBG, Carmen Marc Valvo, DKNY, L.A.M.B., Peter Som, and Rachel Roy.

You could wait until March, when the collection will be available in salons and beauty stores. Or you could enter the Spoiled Pretty’s Plexi Pop Giveaway (say that three time fast!) and win all six shades now!

To enter:
*Name one of my ‘Holy Grail’ nail products I included on the Spoiled Prettiest: Best of Beauty 2007 list. Here’s a hint: I wrote the review on New Year’s Eve.
*Send an email to spoiledprettycontests@gmail.com - and make sure to include the product name, your full name, and email address.

The contest ends at 9 pm EST on Sunday, January 20th. A winner will be chosen at random from among the entrants. On Monday, January 21st, I’ll announce the winner’s name. Please, only one comment per person; duplicate comments will not increase your chances of winning. Contest is open to U.S. & Canadian residents. Good luck!

Maybe The Crackhead Is On To Something

We interrupt your regularly scheduled program to bring you this important announcement...

Amy Winehouse is a hot mess. The girl's got some serious pipes (I've been singing 'Tears Dry On Their Own' all summer), but I think we can all agree that her look leaves much to be desired. I mean, who aspires to look like they've drawn their eyeliner on with a Sharpie? And, by comparison, homegirl's hairpiece makes Schatar's (from VH1's Charm School) weave look high-quality.

But despite the fact that Amy always seems to look like she just woke up in cold sweat on some nasty bathroom floor, she has become an unlikely fashion and beauty icon. From Hollywood to NYC, the songstress' kooky style has set the runways and red carpets on fire.

Ellen Pompeo channels the chanteuse at the 2007 Emmy Awards.

Eva Mendes rocks Lippman Collection nail lacquer in Rehab.

Ratsnests ruled the runway at Marc Jacobs Spring 2008 Ready to Wear.

Beauty and the bouffant was the theme at L.A.M.B. Spring 2008.

Beehives were mile-high at the Nicholai by Nicky Hilton Spring 2008 fashion show.

Tip: If you dare to replicate Winehouse hair, be sure to try Frederic Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Lifting and Texturizing Spray Gel - a unique, medium hold gel in a lightweight spray formula. Get a little lift or reach your greatest heights with this easy to use texturizer. Available at Sephora.

Sweet Escape

She's a singer, songwriter, clothing designer, style icon, and mother to adorable 1-year-old Kingston. And now Gwen Stefani is adding perfumer to her growing resume. With her debut fragrance, Stefani's iconic style goes beyond music, beyond fashion, and beyond boundaries.

L, a L.A.M.B. Fragrance, has top notes of sweet pea, leafy water hyacinth, white freesia, violet leaves, sensual musk, and orange blossom (an homage to her Orange County, CA roots).

"Every designer basically fantasizes about a fragrance being part of their collection," Gwen dishes. "Basically, it's another thing to put on in the morning."

The perfume is available in liquid and solid versions. And for those of you who like to layer your scents, L comes in a shower gel and body lotion. L is sold at Nordstrom and Sephora, but In Style is giving it away for free. Click here to enter. The sweepstakes ends on September 17.
