Open only if you are not squeamish.

This post is not for the faint of heart.
This is however, one of the most serious posts that I have ever done.

If you smoke or chew, please stop.
Oral cancer is very very real.
I realize that everyone knows someone that has smoked for
80 years and nothing has ever happened to them.
That is all well and good, until its you that it happens to.

These pictures are of a complete jaw bone removal due to oral cancer.
And yes, if the jaw bone comes out then the teeth must come with it.

Bottom Jaw.

After the jaw bone is removed a new one must be made.
It is fairly typical to make the new jaw out of Metal.
the new metal jaw is lined with one of your ribs that has been taken from you and bolted to the metal. Hopefully, later on some type of implants can be fastened to the metal jaw and you can get teeth back. Until that time you are on pretty much liquid.
X-ray of the new lower jaw.
Hope this scares anyone enough to lick the habit.

Hitchcock Reexamined, All At Once

I was alerted to this TRULY amazing bit of cinema academia via movie geek extraordinaire Ron Salvatore on Facebook. Here, courtesy of the fantastically talented ultraculture, we have 30 murder scenes from the films of Alfred Hitchcock, all synched up perfectly (and all climaxing with the requisite death knells). Their sound, images and especially their editing rhythms clash wonderfully on one

Sweet Potato Fries w/ Fiesta Dip

These are awesome & the way i make em, really healthy too.

Sweet Potato Fries w/ Fiesta Dip
sweet potatoes (as many as you'll eat)
olive oil
fat free sour cream
salsa
2-3 green onions
fresh cilantro
1 lime
Preheat oven to 450F.
Start out by cleaning & cutting the potatoes into slices, then place on a baking sheet. Put a few Tbs. of olive oil in a small dish & mix in spices; i used some garlic, Cajun, pepper. Then with a pasty brush coat the fries well. Place in oven bake about 20mins. check to make sure they are softened enough.
Meanwhile, in a bowl mix sour cream & salsa (about equal parts, maybe slightly less sour cream) then add roughly chopped cilantro & lime juice. Chop green onions & place 1 chopped into mixture, then garnish on top with the rest.
Serve immediately! It's nice to have the fiber from the sweet potatoes & no fat sour cream but still the great taste.
Delicious & healthy

Also i found out i was accepted into a study abroad program in Greece today! It would be in the summer & i have been waiting to talk about it since as i said i tend to jinx things. But unless an unforeseen expense comes up i will be spending most of my summer in Greece!! I am over the moon about it :)

Get the Look: Tia Mowry Red Carpet Appearance

BET’s The Game star Tia Mowry, aka Melanie looks great on the red carpet for the premiere of Battle: LA. Mowry’s husband actor Cory Hardrict stars in the Sci-Fi flick. You can’t help but notice Tia’s lovely lady lump her baby bump! She is definitely rocking the soon-to-be-mommy glow. Here’s how you can get this red carpet ready look minus the baby bump.

Cinema Gallery: 200 MORE Movie Images: DARKNESS (Part 3 of 5)

I have to admit: I love a blackened frame. These are some of my favorite hard-to-see moments from movies. I think I love the dark on film because that's where we can catch the most abstract images, if only for a brief moment. By the way, I just want to be clear: these are actual frame grabs and, in that way, they are completely unique. I say this only because these image-only posts of mine

Revlon & Eos

Geia sas /Γεια σας girls!
I went to Walmart the other day & picked up these items. Eos lip balm sphere, which i reviewed HERE, & Revlon nail polish in Cloud.
My sister & i were watching TV the other day & i noticed her nails looked awesome, so i asked her what it was & she told me Cloud by Revlon, so upon stumbling to the cosmetics isle at Walmart i happen to see the last one left & paid the $4.79 it cost.

my camera wasn't focusing properly
Here are some shots in different light to help you see the color, its like a pale lavender with grayish-blue tones. It took 3 coats before i was satisfied with the color.
I absolutely adore it!
And the Eos sphere in Summer Fruit, smells amazing, just like tropical fruit!
